National President Narayan singh kushwah in Bihar election

PATNA: Narayan Singh Kushwaha, a minister in the Shivraj Singh Chauhan-led BJP government in Madhya Pradesh (MP), said here on Thursday that the people of Kushwaha caste should get "adequate" tickets from the state BJP to contest the elections to the state assembly.

Kushwaha, who is also the president of All-India Kushwaha Mahasabha, was on a two-day visit to the state to participate in the meeting of the state unit of the mahasabha held on Wednesday.

"I appeal to all the political parties to give sufficient number of tickets to the people of this caste as per their strength," he said, adding that the BJP would also be considerate about it. He was accompanied by Satyendra Kushwaha, a BJP leader who has been actively demanding sufficient number of tickets and political representation to the people of his caste within the state BJP.

The MP minister said the executive committee of the state unit of the Kushwaha Mahasabha had been dissolved because no elections had been held in the past 12 years. The new election to elect its office bearers would be held in February, the minister said.
